Our Routine:
After trying several techniques and products for several months, I was able to come up with a hair routine.
Our routine starts by pre-pooing her hair using either warm Extra Virgin Olive Oil or 100% Coconut Oil. Lately, I have been using Extra Virgin Olive Oil with a bit of Castor Oil. I let the warm oil sit on her hair for at least twenty minutes and then I proceed to wash her hair using Creme of Nature Argan Oil Moisturizing Shampoo.
What is a Pre-Poo Treatment you may ask?
Well, Pre-Poo stands for "pre-shampoo treatment" that can be done with oils or conditioners. I pre-poo her hair when I have to repeat the shampooing step more than once in order to remove all product build up and/or dirt from her hair. Ms. Bree's hair is normally dry, excessive use of shampoo on her hair can strip the strands, making the hair more delicate.
*You can pre-poo the hair by using oils as Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil or you can use conditioners like My Honeychild Olive You.
I then condition her hair by using Herbal Essence None of Your Frizziness. I "finger" detangle her hair and keep it in sections in order to prevent the hair from becoming tangled again. Rinse each section out carefully.
After our washing routine 90% of the time I band her hair so that I may style it the next day.
Second Washing Session: Deep Conditioning
After I shampoo her hair with the moisturizing shampoo, I apply a deep conditioner. I always use Bee Mine Bee-u-ti-ful Deep Conditioner, place a cap and let it sit for 25 minutes.
Then I rinse her hair out and banded in order to style the hair the following day.
Third Washing Session: Co-Washing
During this session, I do not use shampoo of any kind, I simply wash her hair using conditioner only. Then band and style her hair like I normally would.
Fourth Washing Session: Protein Treatment (if need it, if not I DC her hair again)
I shampoo her hair like I normally would and then I do a Protein Treatment. Rinse out the protein treatment then I band her hair and style it the next day.
Then the following washing session I start by pre-pooing her hair and I start all over again.
LET'S DO A RECAP:
* I pre-poo her hair with oils before washing with shampoo;
* After washing her hair, I include a deep conditioning treatment;
* I co-wash by using conditioner only;
* I end our cycle by adding a Protein Treatment to our washing session.
Please keep in mind that this is the routine that has worked for Ms. Bree's hair. Sometimes I may skip the protein treatment if I see her hair is good in the protein department. And I always deep conditioned her hair as need it, even if it means deep conditioning her hair once a week.
If Ms. Bree has a protective style, (i.e. Box Braids, Cornrows, Twists) I wash her hair with the style in. However, I do skip two steps, the Pre-Poo and Protein Treatment. Once I take her protective style out I pre-poo her hair.

NOTE: So far, the conditioner that works best for me to detangle her hair is the Herbal Essence Conditioner, remember, these are products I feel that have worked for her hair.
I SWEAR by herbal essence hello hydration conditioner. it's the only one that makes both my and my daughters hair (we have different textures - hers closer to a 4a and mine a 2/3) feel so soft. and ive tried several more expensive brands and nothing has beaten HE's conditioner.
